Ode to Peanut Butter Pie (and how I love thee)
Ode to Peanut Butter Pie,
And how I love thee.
From your rich filling,
to your fluffy whipped cream,
I have to admit,
Every bite is a dream.
Yes, I admit it, it's true.
I scrape off your chocolate layer (I'm allergic, I swear!)
But it's ok.
This one time, I'll share.
It's thick and tasty,
Rich and delicious.
I crave, I yearn, I beg,
It's really that fabulous.
I'm so obsessed with my peanut butter pie,
I even label it.
After all, how can I take chances,
Ben might dare to eat it!
Wait a minute, what's this?
Banana pudding! (It's restaurant chic to leave them in the Styrofoam containers. Trust me, darlings.)
Wait there's more.... Macaroni and cheese!
And a cupcake! A PINK cupcake!
With glittery sprinkles on top!! I do love pink things. With glitter. And sprinkles. I love sprinkles.
My dear Invisible Friends.....
I am going to consume all this.
I may not fit in the car on the way back. Now if you excuse me.... I have to continue my ode to my peanut butter pie. And how I love thee.
