Interview: The Cookie Stealing Bunny

Today's guest is the notoriously quiet Cookie Stealing Bunny. He's a critter of few words, seen lurking about blog posts containing tasty treats such as cookies, pie and hamburgers.

He has a thing for cookies.

Let's learn more about him, shall we?

So, Cookie Stealing Bunny--is that your real name?

(Nose twitches)

What's your favorite type of cookie?

Carrot cookies.

They don't make carrot cookies.

That's why I steal them.

Are you a sock or real bunny? There's been speculation here at the Pond.

What do you think?

I'm asking you.

(Nose twitches)

You're not making this easy on me. Don't you ever talk?

I'm a bunny.

Fine. What's your favorite movie?

Babe. I dated a pig once. Didn't work out. She didn't like carrots as much as I did. And Wallace and Grommit-- the one with the wererabbit.

What's your favorite book?

Bunnicula.

What's your ideal vacation?

England during the spring. They have giant gardens over there.

Tell me about yourself. Where do you come from?

The forest.

What forest?

I can't tell you.

Why not?

It's a magical forest. Very exclusive.

What happens if you tell me?

He gets mad.

Who gets mad?

He does.

But that's just a wee little rabbit.

(Nose twitches nervously. Looks around) Next question.

Why do you steal cookies?

Why not?

Why can't you just bake them? Or buy them?

Because I'm the cookie-stealing bunny. (Eyes light up). Excuse me.

Apparently, the cookie-stealing bunny is done with us. He just ran into the bakery down the street.

And the sirens are going. Excuse me. I'm going to go pick through the scraps.

Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! Tomorrow we've got a new Candy Animals story and Sunday, a special edition of the Gift. Then we've got a whimsical week of more fun! Stay tuned!

You make me smile, you really do.

There is something so funny about that photo too. It's the way he's looking at the camera. Sort of frozen in motion as he's caught red-handed. The evidence is there - no doubt whatsoever that he's stealing that cookie.

PS They make carrot cake. Why not carrot cookies?

I remember "Bunnicula"! I think I bought it in third grade. What a cute bunny. He can steal my cookies anytime. Seriously, too many Christmas cookies left.

Thanks for starting my day with a big smile...cute little bunny.

ohh, he seems very evasive for me. Could it be he is working for the mob? He does look like he's been caught with his, um, hand in the cookie jar here. what a mug shot! All's that is missing are the numbers along the bottom of the picture. lol Loved this interview Duckie! I am going to e-mail you later today! XXOO

Tell Cookie-stealing bunny he has excellent taste in books. Bunnicula is one of my favorite and in fact, my husband bought me a new copy of it for Christmas. I also like the Celery Stalks at Midnight. LOL

OMG! We have multiple copies of Bunnicula, because several of my kids had to have their own! Who knew it was so famous that the cookie stealing bunny would be a fan?

That darn bunny. Way funny. The cookies look good too. I'm trying to stop eating so many munchies. If I could grab a cookie and run I would!
Have a good day.

ROFL, Oh Miranda, you light up my life! Have a great weekend. (And don't go to my blog, you'll see I haven't posted since 12-14-08!)

I have been remiss in my commenting duties. My sincerest apologies to the pond. In answer to your question, yes, please send Twirl to our blog's e-mail address, 3bay.b.chicks@gmail.com. Can't wait to read the story. It is going to make my weekend so much more fun.

The interview with the bunny was hilarious. In addition to reading Twirl, I also should take time to watch Bunnicula. Don't want to be lefting standing on the shore at the pond while everyone else goes swimming by. :)

Thankyou for the giggles this morning. It is -7 celsius and bitterly cold this morning here in England, so any local bunnies will be deep underground snuggled up asleep or baking carrot cookies. Jane x
